Guardian Cards & Comics strives to be the premier TCG shop in the state of Vermont. We also service the New Hampshire and Upstate New York areas as well as our friends above the border in Canada. Offering products from the biggest Trading card games such as Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Disney's Lorcana, Flesh and Blood, Star Wars Unlimited, and Sorcery: Contested Realm. We pride ourselves in our variety of supplies for your favorite hobbies like Warhammer, Board Games, Dungeon's and Dragons, and so much more!
In addition we also have a great selection of the newest comic releases from the best publishers available. Come visit us and our selection of great priced back issues. You're guaranteed to find something you like and for a great deal! We offer an in-house subscription service for the latest issues or we can ship straight to your home!
And you won't just find a great shop to browse great items, we also have an open play area that can seat currently up to 72 people! So bring a group of friends for some open play, or catch us on one of our many community events that we post weekly here and on our Facebook Page. If you're in the competitive scene, we also host frequent tournaments so check in for the latest event!

Pickers Post
Here at Guardian Cards we believe in giving our customers a great value! So as a proud feature of the store we have developed the Picker's Post! At the front of the store we have assorted bins with cards valued up to $5!
Cases are color coded for easy browsing and shopping! We have singles of Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Sorcery, Flesh and Blood and Star Wars: Unlimited. A great value for any starting player, somewhere you can bring the kids, or just pick up those cheap staples for your next deck! Not to mention there's always an interesting conversation going on around the post!

Let me first start by saying that I was super excited to find out that we were getting a comic book shop in St. Albans and my experiences at Guardian thus far have been fantastic. All the guys there are very friendly and knowledgeable. They set me up with a pull list so I'm sure to get the comics that I want every week. They go way above and beyond, in my opinion, by bagging and boarding the comics before I pick them up. Picking up new books on Wednesdays has quickly become the highlight of my week and I look forward to visiting Guardian Cards & Comic for years to come!
This is one of the best game stores ever. Very clean, organized and a helpful staff. The store is stocked with several CCGs, board games and RPGs. Lots of space to play games and is next door to a great pizza place. It also transcends the stereo-typical game store crowd. It is truly family friendly and LGBTQ+ friendly. I see all ages here and just a very diverse and friendly group of patrons.
Stopped by because I was visiting the area and didn’t expect much. I’ve been back three times since and dropped a bunch of money. The manager is a big fan of Skottie Young as am I, and is ridiculously knowledgeable about his products. I may not be up here often, but this is a stop every time I am.
Guardian Cards and Comics is a weekly destination for me and my family. They've got something for everyone and scratch all the itches. The staff is knowledgeable and have great customer service! Hands down the best TCG shop I've been to!

His instinct for business and passion for comics and TCGs make him an invaluable asset to the success of the shop. With his leadership, we will continue to grow and become the premier location for knowledge and great games!

Shane is the eCommerce Manager at Guardian Cards & Comics. If it's digital, it's Shane. Shane comes from an extensive operations background. With years of management experience from years of managing retail spaces to running a gaming news site. Shane brings his entrepreneurial spirit and wisdom to Guardian Cards to help bring one of the most fulfilling game spaces to Vermont.

Cole is not only our retail floor master at Guardian Cards and Comics but also a big DnD enthusiast. Cole uses his contagious personality to brighten the sales floor. His almost 20 years involved in various TCG's makes him a prime knowledge source to help solve a variety of customer needs.

The Man. The Myth. The Legend. John is our TCGPlayer.com Captain, and Shane's right-hand man. When he's not helping Shane keep the digital warfront clear, you'll find him spelunking the Bulk-Mines looking for the diamonds in the rough. John brings some heart and soul into the business. His loyalty is matched only by his love for the Bulk.

Chris Grant
Chris is the Owner / President of Guardian Cards and Comics. He has been collecting cards and comics for almost 50 years now. Supported by his loving wife Andrea and his two awesome kids Taylor and Tucker, Chris decided to bring and amazing TCG/Comic retail experience to the North Country in St. Albans for the entire community to enjoy.
